Had wine at lunch today– always nice. Went out to lunch with the other tech writers– also nice. Friday the 13th and our bill came to $13 per person. Ooooh.
Almost done with user manuals– we’ll see how fast I get them back. Hopefully soon– I think I need them by Thursday PM in time for a Friday release.
Have to finish reference manuals and get them through review as well.
I donated blood last night before the write-in. That was amusing. Got a free T-Shirt. Got my blood pressure to recover quickly by taking surface streets to Cupertino write-in. Was so frustrated, I didn’t write anything– just got out the pens and did calligraphy all night. That was fun and neat, but I wish I’d brought more certificates and some of the Participant ones as well. Forgot to eat dinner– not good when you’ve just lost a pint of blood. Not that big of a deal, though, as I did stay hydrated.
Slept badly last night. Took a long time to get to sleep, and I was cold. I had bad dreams about Brian the psycho ex-boyfriend from Camp Hamp. I’m sooo glad I have a username that I made up after we broke up. Sore neck today.
Got another email from a code-beggar this morning. She spelled “please correctly.” I didn’t give her a code, but I pointed her to the code contest and to the community. Reply email bounced back: my host isn’t permitted to send email to her. Oh, well.
Fun stuff: is making a support volunteer RPG (). Sooo coool. I have no idea what kind of character I’m going to play– I told rah I would be willing to fill in the ranks with whatever skills/class is needed after everyone else has chosen their characters. Still don’t know if I will have time for this, though.
Have been cold all day and last night. Polar fleece is too warm. T-Shirt is too cool. Need something in between. I love long-sleeved T-shirts, by the way.
