Holiday parties, family reunions

Well, last night was the party with John’s former Kerbango co-workers. These things are a lot like a family reunion. I don’t really know anyone there, but everyone remembers me because I’m John’s wife.
John took the opportunity to forget to mention that I’d passed my MA and wrote a novel. Sigh. He’s a sweetheart, but he does forget to brag sometimes. 
There’s an amusing Pearls Before Swine storyline this week about rejection letters. Pig has basically been rejected from the poetry magazine, before they received his poem. Sigh. Isn’t it always like that?
I’m going to clean up my speech recognition bbs board this weekend and get rid of all the “I want a CD-key” and blank messages. I might just get rid of the board altogether, as the signal-to-noise ratio is pretty damn high and I don’t have time to police it all day.
And once again, User Friendly’s message boards crashed Mozilla. Anyone know why this keeps happening? ?
