The Day After

Well, it’s the day after NaNoWriMo ended. Tonight is the TGIO party (thank god its over). John is not sure he’s going, I think. I am, though. I need to print out my 2 pages for the clothesline of victory, and I need to print my certificate so I can feel extra-specially. :)
We’re leaving in about 5 minutes to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I am soooo looking forward to this. This, and reading all the wonderful books I’ve neglected in the last 3 years. Yay!

Tonight is a new moon. I feel as though I am casting away the project I have just finished and am letting it float free for a while, at least. Until I can return to it, reinvigorated.

In the meantime, here are some novel ideas I have had this month that I didn’t write:

  • the Griselde story
  • what drives a man cheat on his wife
  • a cheesy SF novel with sidebars of MST3K commentary
  • a novel with “outtakes” at the end
  • the ending adventure of the elven campaign

There were others. There will be others later. I feel more energized in terms of writing fiction than I did a month ago, and that’s what makes this a victory.

I did it!!!

I did it! I finished the novel! It weighs in at 50,975 words, including the title and “The End.”

/me does a victory dance.
