I DID IT!!

I ran for a total of 10 minutes today. 2 min run, 4 min. walk. It took me 38 minutes because of warmup/cool down times, but I did it!!!

Woo hoo!!!

Iron Steph

Leftover taco meat from the night before
1 can of el-cheapo spaghetti sauce
2 cups Spaghetti, dry.

Boil spaghetti in water for 8-10 minutes or until it sticks to the ceiling.

Dump can of sauce and taco meat into medium-sized sauce pan and put on low. Try to remember to put a lid on it.

Go watch TV until the spaghetti timer goes off.

Forgot to set the timer? No problem– the sound of water boiling over and the smell of natural gas filling the house will remind you to be a little less negligent of your culinary experiences.

Hastily try to stir the sauce so that it doesn’t burn (too late!) and the spaghetti so it doesn’t stick to the pot (also too late!)

Pour spaghetti into collander in sink. Um. It helps if you run the garbage disposal before dumping the spaghetti into the sink (cause the drain will run slowly, and the garbage will float up to meet your dinner).

Rinse spaghetti in hot water. If you forgot to run the disposal, finish swearing, rinse spaghetti reallywell and feed to the dog. Turn the heat waaaay down on the spaghetti sauce and start over with cooking the spaghetti (or give up and call for pizza). Make sure you don’t cover the spaghetti sauce, because you really love scraping sauce off of the stove, counters, floor, and wall.

Portion out the cooked spaghetti into two bowls. Spoon the spaghetti sauce over them. Make sure you are wearing a white, unstained shirt, because you only have one of those, you know, and this is a special occassion.

Tuck a napkin under your chin to keep your shirt unstained, or go topless– it’s not like anyone will mind.

Bon Appetit!

Note: This is why my husband does the cooking in our house!
