Working out to MTV
13-Nov-02
I worked out last night, despite the annoyance of having to watch/listen to MTV’s “alternative rock” segment. OK, not only is alternative the most boring, repetitive music in the world, but it’s also really horrible to watch music videos for. Plus, the sound was turned down low enough so that only the guy who was on the very front bike could actually hear the lyrics (because he was the one who’d picked the channel, I’m sure). So, basically, I was grateful that Cthulhu had compelled me to bring my Annotated Lovecraft with me: I started reading At the Mountains of Madness instead of watching that dreck.
SIGH.
Tonight’s workout involves 5 sets of run2/walk4. That’s 10 minutes of running, total– more than I’ve ever done, ever. Afterwards, I’m going to a write-in for my novel, where I hope to get a lot done. Lunch isn’t going to be productive writing time because I’m going out with Inga today, and I skipped out on writing this morning. So I’m a little bit eensy weensy bit behind (not too bad: I have to write 1800 words today, though).
I think at the write-in tonight, I will write 2000 words or until 9:30, whichever comes last (i.e., stay until I have 2000 words, or stay until 9:30 if I make it to 2000 early).
