Cross-Lingual Nightmare

How hard do you think it is to concentrate with 4 men talking animatedly outside your cubicle. . . . in Chinese (a language I do not understand).
I miss having a door.
Blog for Stephanie Bryant, a 30-something writer who travels full-time. And her husband, Johnnyb.

My friend Andy emailed me today to wish me good luck on the exam. It was nice to hear from him (Hi, Andy!) because he reads my journal and knows what’s going on in my life, but doesn’t have one himself.
I wrote a bit yesterday– more than I’d planned to, less than I should have. I wanted to make up for Tuesday, and I guess I came close. I went to bed too late, and I did not study enough last night (read: at all). West Wing was excellent, but we missed the first 20 minutes because Tivo still can’t figure out how to correctly change the channel on our dish (it’s a setting that I had to reset when John was out of town).
I walked on the treadmill for 25 minutes yesterday evening, including 6 minutes of running. I am going to train myself up to being able to run for 30 minutes without stopping (a 10-week program), and then for a marathon (a 26-week program).
There are 2 days until the exam. I’m going to the bookstore today to buy blue books and graduation regalia.
