This is something I posted last night in ’s journal, in response to a question of “Why does it matter? It’s just an election. . . .”
Basically, the Dems are trying to get out the vote because the Republicans are about to (read are currently) win control over the three branches of government, which is very very bad, no matter who is in office, but even worse when the person is G.W.B. Basically, it’s what happens when the stupid/mean kid in the class is also the most popular with students, teachers, and the principal– he gets to do anything he wants to anyone else, and no one stops him.
It’s going to be a very long two years.
