Jenny asked how she can make her journal look like mine. I tried to reply in a comment, but it sucked.
Well, ok. Here’s the difference between your journal and mine. Mine is a paid account– it cost me about $2.50 a month to be able to have any layout I like. Your is free– it costs nothing, but your choices are limited.
That said, you can change your background and your layout a little bit at the Modify Journal page (see the link on the left-hand side of your Comments page). You can pick from one of the system style layouts– you are currently using “Refried Paper” for your layout. You will need to change that if you want to use my background graphic. I suggest Clean and Simple.
Then, go change all the colors to use “Custom Colors.” Make sure that you have #000000 as the “background color.” And I strongly recommend #FFFFFF for the “Page text” color– this combination will give you white text on black background. I use green for my links (#00FF00), and orange for visited links (#FF6600), because they’re very Halloween-ish. I remove the Weak Links color (but not the Weak Links Text color) because it interferes with the background.
Yes, I will change all of these after the holiday, but I’m not sure when.
Now for the twinkles: Scroll down to the bottom of the page. There’s a large text box to put your overrides in. Don’t ask me what these are: read the FAQ instead and then practice, and then ask.

In the text box, put the following:
LASTN_HEAD<=
<style type=”text/css”>
<!–
body {
background-color: #000000;
background-image: url(http://www.mortaine.com/faces/backgrounds/starrynightBlack.gif) !important;
background-repeat: repeat-y;
background-position: left;
}
#topbar, #navbar, #viewlinks {
background-color: transparent;
}
–>
</style>
<=LASTN_HEAD
