Well, I’m working on a map for my Tabula Rasa D&D campaign. I made a map sketch, transferred it to the “big paper” and am currently coloring in with PrismaColors for a really vibrant colored map. Of course, I think I may need to get the Art Stix, which are extra wide Prismacolors, in order to do the blue ocean. Or, I might be able to get away with combining it with oil pastels. I’ll have to see how it goes with trying to ink the words onto the map.
I also went out to the stationery store and made copies of my world map sketch and copies of the Freeport map for my players. The Freeport map is easier to read, certainly, because it’s pre-printed in ink (whereas my sketch is pencil). But that’s ok– they don’t actually need a world map for most things, and by then my full-color map should be done and we can use that for most things. I am considering laminating it for game play, just because it’s soo much easier than trying to handle a pencil drawing during a game.
Sigh.
So now I’m surfing Amazon.com, just for the heck of it.
I got a $40 gift certificate from a friend for my birthday, and I’ve been obsessively shopping and selecting since then.
Ooh! I’ve been trying to figure out who sings this particular song that I like and used to see on MTV (during those rare stints of watching MTV), and I just could not remember anything except the music– not even the lyrics! Well, by chance I’m surfing my “Music Recommendations” and came across a CD by Moby. That’s the one! Now I just have to figure out what the song was called. If anyone remembers– in the video, he’s walking through a hospital or old folk’s home, especially at the end, and there’s an old guy that’s actually him.
But I do see that “We Are All Made of Stars” is Moby, too– that’s cool. I like that song. Hey, I think I might have just found another band I like! Wow!
AHA! Found it– “Natural Blues” is the song title. “Oh, Lordy. Troubles so hard. . . .” yes!
